The 11th Annual Ludaday Weekend has officially concluded!
Ludaday Weekend is an annual weekend full of events thrown by Atlanta rapper Ludacris and The Ludacris Foundation. The fun-filled weekend always takes place on Labor Day weekend; also just in time for an early celebration of Luda’s birthday on Sep. 11. Luda and his celebrity friends take over Atlanta and party for a purpose all weekend long.
“Ludaday Weekend is a very special weekend for me. I’m truly grateful that I can gather all of my family, friends and the Atlanta community together to help me celebrate the holiday as well as raise funding towards my foundation,” Ludacris says in a statement.
This year’s Ludaday Weekend kicked off Friday night with the Ludaday Bowling Tournament at Bowlmor Lanes in Sandy Springs, where tons of guests gathered for a fun (and competitive) night of bowling. Celebrities in attendance included Michael B. Jordan, Terrence J., Lance Gross, Larenz Tate, Verse Simmonds, Tahiry Jose, Laura Govan, Monyetta Shaw, Angie Stone and more!
After the show is the after party! The celebs ended their night turning up at Gold Room Nightclub.
Saturday night Luda hosted Compound Nightclub alongside Joseph Sikora a.k.a Tommy from Power, Karrueche, Teyana Taylor, Marshawn Lynch and Tahiry.
The next day the celebs geared up and got ready for the highly anticipated Celebrity Basketball Game at Forbes Arena at Morehouse College, where girl group June’s Diary opened up singing the Black American National Anthem ‘Life Every Voice and Sing‘. This year Team Luda took on Team MMG with star-studded rosters including Metta World Peace, Matt Barnes, Adrien Broner, Lou Williams, Tank, Malcom Delaney, DC Young Fly and more. In the stands were MMG’s own Rick Ross and Wale, Mack Wilds, Bre-Z a.k.a Freda Gatz from Empire, Karrueche, LHHATL’s Tommie and more. It was a close game, but Team MMG took home the winning title!
Following the basketball game, celebrities, athletes and VIP guests were all invited out to a private party at Topgolf in Midtown for a night of food, music, mingling and of course, golf! The weekend concluded with Ludacris and 50 Cent’s Labor Day All White Day Party at Compound on Monday, when the two brought the whole city out for the finale of Ludaday, and Labor Day, weekend.
