There is nothing better than a good game of NBA basketball and two live performances from one of the industry’s best rap artist, T.I.. The Atlanta Hawks took on the Cleveland Cavaliers at Phillips Arena, in Atlanta. The Hawks trailed in the first half, but in the second half came back with “fire in their eyes”. The score remained close through the second half. But in the end, Lebron James led the Cavaliers to a 110-108 win, in overtime, as he scored 29 points. Paul Millsap (scoring 28 points) and the Hawks fought hard until the end, but weren’t able to take the win.
During halftime, the sold out crowd was treated to a performance by Grammy award winning artist and Atlanta native, T.I.. As we know the rapper welcomed his second daughter, Heiress, to the world in late March and took time out to show his city some major love. During halftime T.I. did a quick six minute performance but would return later to do a post-game concert performance to really show his appreciation for his city and fans.
The crowd was very entertained as T.I. performed his classic hits such as “ASAP”, “You Don’t Know Me”, “Rubberband Man”, and his recent hit “About the Money” featuring Young Thug. The 30 minute concert was definitely a plus following the intense game. Every person in the building was “turnt up” and excited.
A few stars were also in the building including one of the hottest rappers out right now, Future, singer and actress, Teyanna Taylor, singer and producer, The Dream, and Real Housewives of Atlanta’s, Marlo Hampton. A lot of people look forward to the games that also included the post-game concert. We can’t wait for the next one. Be sure to watch the next match up between the Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers on April 11th.
