There were a lot of heavy hitters that were mentioned on the list of honorees. Queen Bey herself lead the list of nominations with a total of seven. Beyoncé was nominated for “Best Female R & B/ Pop Artist”, “Best Collaboration”, “Video of the Year”, and “Album of the Year” just to name a few. This year Beyonce will have some stiff competition as she will face off with her sister Solange. Beyonce and Solange will go head to head in the categories of “Best Female R & B/ Pop Artist”, “Video of the Year”, and “Album of the Year”.

Coming in second on the list of nominations is Bruno Mars with five nominations. Bruno is up for “Best Male R&B/ Pop Artist” and “Viewer’s Choice” just to name a few. “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist” and “Best Male Hip-Hop Artist” will be the most anticipated categories to watch for on that night. Some of the nominees for those categories include Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, and Cardi B. Yes, you read that correctly. The regular shemgular girl Cardi B has been nominated for “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist”.
