Concept Korea S/S2018 NYFW

Concept Korea is a fashion show that exposes the great Korean fashion designers and their collections.

During the Concept Korea New York Fashion Week show, two brilliant designers presented their looks to the world. Chung Chung Lee and Younhee Park put together designs for brands LIE and Greedilous, respectfully. These Spring/Summer collections had phrases, popping colors, and lovely patterns. Not only are these designs stylish, but people will have so much fun wearing them. Street style is the new wave.

Chung Chung Lee’s designs popped with bright colors and sharp lines.  a few of the colors incorporated into the looks were pinks, purples, and lime green. Sweatshirts, skirts, trousers, and blouses came down the runway worn by beautiful models. Maye Musk helped debut the collection by being one of the first to strut the runway, at a lovely 69 years old. Of course, there were patterns for days, such as stripes, plaid, and polka dots. The words “perfectly imperfect” and “believe” were across sashes, eyelids, and even headbands. Talk about spreading the word! Lee did not play it safe with his concept, which is essential to make a mark during NYFW.

Greedilous x Younhee Park

Younhee Park’s designs gave slightly more of a sophisticated appeal. There were some looks that incorporated the color black, which people may choose to wear to work or professional events. The name “Greedilous” can be seen on some of the blouses. Majority of the looks were covered in bright prints while others were monochromatic with a graphic tee. Dresses have layers of ruffles going down the body while skirts were paired with intricate jackets. Also, some models wore baseball caps with printed stripes and flowers to match the outfits. Backpacks, sunglasses, and even mesh gloves were the finishing touches. Younhee sees the importance of accessories! Though the Greedilous looks are strategically matching, the pieces can be easily paired with other garments.
