Kontrol Homme Report: NFL Style Hall of Famers

In order to prepare for the big game this Sunday, I’ve dedicated this week to all things [football]. For today’s edition of the Kontrol Homme Report, we’re taking a look at some of the league’s most valuable players when it comes to the game of style. Most people hear “celebrity fashion” and think solely of singers and actors, but athletes know how to rock an all-star look too. I’ve put together a list of players who have mastered the art of putting together an off-field uniform. This is the NFL Style Hall of Fame and it’s time for our induction ceremony.

Victor Cruz, #80
New York Giants
Wide Receiver

Featured as one of GQ’s 2013 Men of the Year, Victor Cruz handles his business on the field and on the red carpet. He took home the title of Most Stylish Athlete of the Year at the 2013 Style Awards and it’s pretty easy to see why. From casual occasions to suit & tie events, he’s always perfectly dressed for the occasion and makes it look natural and effortless. He’s taking home the MVP award for the league this year.

Tom Brady, #12
New England Patriots

First of all, he’s married to supermodel Gisele Bündchen–of course he knows how to dress! Haha, all jokes aside, Tom Brady knows how to play the fashion game. From the Met Gala red carpet to everyday street style, you’ll find him looking dapper and gentlemanly at all times.

Larry Fitzgerald, #11
Arizona Cardinals
Wide Receiver

Known for rocking a nice suit, Larry Fitzgerald made a ton of NFL best-dressed lists last year and I’m sure that won’t be changing as we move into 2014. I love the purple shawl-lapel suit seen below (center look). I’ll call that a fashion touchdown.

Cam Newton, #1
Carolina Panthers

At just 24, Cam Newton is the youngest member being inducted today and one of the youngest QBs in the league. Don’t let his age fool you though; he knows how to make moves on the field and with his wardrobe. He’s had his own GQ cover feature and probably rocks the most laid back style of all the guys on this list.

Adrian Peterson, #28
Minnesota Vikings
Running Back

When it comes to the best fit, Adrian Peterson takes the prize. He’s well aware of his size and he dresses perfectly to fit his frame. A little tailoring is always a game-changer and Peterson knows that all too well. When it comes to rocking a nice suit, he tackles the competition.
