Valentines Day is this Friday, February 14…yes, we know already! But there is another holiday to celebrate, National Singles Awareness Day. And I know what you’re probably thinking. Why would I celebrate being alone, while everyone else is going out on dates and getting flowers and candy? Well I will tell you why – THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING SINGLE! I enjoy my life, I enjoy my freedom; and although being in a “relationship” would be wonderful, I don’t understand why being happily single is sold as a bad thing. But back to the issue at hand before I go off into a feminist rant. Yes it’s V-day and you’re single! Who cares? You will probably read a lot of blogs this week about how sad it is to be single, but not from me. Instead of indulging in this foolishness and stuffing your face with chocolates you bought for yourself and sitting around sad and angry, grab a bunch of your single girlfriends and party the night away. Here are some alternatives to celebrate the love you have, instead of focusing on the relationship you don’t.
