Thakoon goes glossy for its show, showcasing shiny lids, skin and hair for its New York fall preview at fashion week. Pulling off this look requires smooth skin so make sure to scrub with your favorite exfoliatant and moisturize. To gloss out your eyes, try Jane Iredale’s Smooth Operator eye gloss (janeiredale.com)

Herve Leger drew the line for his show, with models looking fierce with thick top-lid eyeliner. Be sure to build to this look with a precise liner like Maybelline’s new Stiletto Lash liquid eyeliner to avoid adding too much too quickly. To avoid smudging, try using a hand fan to dry your eyes for a few seconds before you open them. Available at Target stores nationwide.

Altuzarra Studio dolled up its models with fancy falsies. Mac Cosmetics sells an array of dolled-up lashes, but my favorite trick for replicating this look? Try cutting and framing 6 lash. (Maccosmetics.com)

Tanya Taylor opted for bright orange lips, bare eyes, and full brows for her show. To achieve this full-bodied pout, Try NarsHeat Wave semi-matte lipstick or Mac’s matte stick, So Chaud. (Narcosmetics.com, Maccosmetics.com)

All in all, these looks obeyed the golden makeup rule of playing up one area of the face and leaving everything else bare. Lips, lids, eyeliner, brow, lashes all had their moments and when one was the star, all other features played supporting roles. Surprisingly this choice added to the drama of the look while adding to the point of view of the designer for the show.
