Teen Vogue has no type! Rae Sremmurd is this only thing that they like! As seen on Instagram and www.teenvogue.com, “The Mississippi-bred brothers” will be featured in Teen Vogue’s May Issue, available April 28th, in an interview they did. The young dynamic duo, Aaquil Brown aka Slim Jxmmi, 23, and Khalif Brown aka Swae Lee, 21, are breaking through the industry and Teen Vogue recognized it.
The writer of the interview mentioned that the boys had a “Cinderfella” story when they some how managed to get well known producers like P-Nasty and Mike Will-Made It to see that they were a force to be reckoned with! The “determined duo” had to hustle to get to where they are now between working at McDonald’s and Olive Garden shifts they were able to release songs under the stage name “Dem Outta S8 Boyz.”
Slim and Swae’s overall “grab your attention” kind of energy and “I’m not gonna take your crap” attitude caught the eye of the famed beat makers. From the amateur “Dem Outta S8 Boyz” Rae Sremmurd was born with their help. Tracks like “No Type” and “Throw Sum Mo” with Nicki Minaj were created and now blast through the speakers of your car and even the hottest night clubs.
The siblings have now had so many achievements and opportunities however they remain themselves completely and humble. No big ego breakups will be found here amongst the bonded brothers. You’ll be able to find out and read more of their interview once the May issue of Teen Vogue hits the stands on April 28th and you don’t want to miss this one!
