The annual Cannes Film Festival acts as the perfect occasion for the biggest stars to dress up and walk a red carpet in between award seasons.

The week long star studded affair, which is located in Cannes, France, can always be counted on for bringing out the best of the best in Hollywood as well as the fashion world.  Having only been underway for a couple of days, there have already been a slew of looks that are sure to pass into iconography.

As one half of the talented pair of Fanning Sisters, Elle Fanning solidified her status as a style star by donning a gown from Vivienne Westwood with handpainted details, which cascaded down the train.

Top supermodel Bella Hadid took Cannes by storm when she arrived. Her newly shorn bob was perfectly coiffed in an old Hollywood style. Her custom Alexandre Vauthier dress fit her like a glove and the very large “Hope-esque” diamond necklace by Bulgari made the perfect accessory for her flawless face.

Perhaps the most unknown of this list, Thai actress, Araya “Chompoo” Hargate turned heads with her custom Ralph & Russo creation.  The actress, who was there to premiere her movie Ismael’s Ghost, accessorized her growing baby bump with a coordinating feather cape, which effortlessly brought the drama.

When isn’t Julianne Moore slaying on the red carpet? Her series of amazing red carpet looks could span almost as long as her three decade long career. This year’s Cannes Film Festival brought out the scarlet-haired actress in a custom scarlet dress from Givenchy Haute Couture. Always knowing the right colors for her look, this will surely be yet another best dressed for Moore.
