Veganism is a lifestyle and vegans are people that do not eat or use animal products. A vegan diet is loaded with nutrients and helps with weight loss and disease prevention. One of the biggest misconceptions is that vegans do not get enough protein. Wrong! Vegans can easily meet the recommendations for protein and you’d be surprised that some of your beloved foods are packed with protein.

The cool thing about it is that there are a lot of new vegan friendly restaurants popping up everywhere. There are many restaurants that may serve meat but have followed the movement and have updated their menus to include meatless options. There are a plethora of vegan desserts to choose from and the healthy snack selection is even better.
