CBS Picks Up ‘Rush Hour” Pilot!

Although the “Rush Hour 4” movie possibility is still up in the air, CBS has a pick-me-up for all you fans of the duo cop comedy. The network has just picked up a series based on the popular action/comedy movie trilogy.

Bill Lawrence, the writer of Cougar Town, King of the Hill, and Scrubs, will be the writer for the new pilot. There is no word who will be playing the black and Chinese crime fighters, but we do know that Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are definitely not on the ballot. Sorry guys, no “Do you hear the sound that is coming out of my mouth” moment in the fashion only Chris and Jackie can bring. But, maybe there is still hope for a Rush Hour 4…or maybe the new pilot could kill any last hope of it. Guess we will have to wait and see. Try to keep your cool, guys.

Each episode to the series will be an hour long. The pilot has some very big shoes to fill and will be under heavy scrutiny because of the popularity of the movie some people refer to as a classic. Let the game begins! We have no word on when to expect the pilot to air but, we will keep you posted as we always do at Kontrol.
